The music industry's woes E-mail

Swan Songs? is a thought provoking article by Charles Blow of the New York Times, that I came across today, discussing the decline of the music industry in recent years.

A cleverly designed chart is included with the article that compares the sales of each of the different audio formats over the years, graphically demonstrating the almost exponential contraction in the CD market since the turn of the century. Music download sales, although growing, are nowhere near taking up the slack.
